The Brooklyn Hospital Center sponsors Annual Employee BBQ
It was 7:30 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 and there was a buzz in the neighborhood around the Brooklyn Hospital Center. The parking lot adjacent to the hospital and Ashland was morphing into a beautiful picnic venue. Tables with red and white checkered tablecloths with sunflower centerpieces were popping up everywhere. As people walked by the enclosed, fenced in lot, many asked if the President was coming to town. After all, this is Brooklyn. Everyone knows Brooklyn.
This was one of the days of the year that the hospital celebrates its hard working, extremely committed and very dedicated employees. The fare consisted of hot dogs, hamburgers, BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, various salads, watermelon and ice cream novelties. A table was also set up with kosher foods and Halal as well. Brooklyn’s local finest from precinct 88 were invited to share in the feast as well.
The food was served by the administrative staff as well as anyone else who volunteered. Special thanks to Greg Vitale, William Ward and the for the entire dietary team in making the day spectacular.
