Most importantly, these well-appointed rooms have been designed to convert, at a moment's notice, into a delivery room. The beautiful furniture, finished in cherry wood, discreetly contains the important monitoring devices and medical equipment that ensures the highest quality of care. No detail is overlooked: the concealed ceiling lights are also warmers tucked away to maximize your floor space. Your safety and that of your child is our greatest concern; your comfort is our goal. Attractive labor and delivery rooms, special parking privileges, special elevators, educational classes, photographs and more, all combine to make your delivery very special.

In fact, the Hospital Center's obstetrical services and the Perinatal Diagnostic Service, which offers specialized care for high risk pregnancies, are regarded as a regional center for maternity care and accepts referrals from other doctors and hospitals throughout the borough. More than 3,700 babies are delivered every year at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, more than any other hospital in the borough.
