The Brooklyn Hospital Center offers highly personalized, medically focused dermatologic care. We believe in avoiding cosmetic “quick fixes” in favor of treatments that support the long-term health of your skin and body.
Most of us are busy and have to juggle many challenges at once. That’s why we’ve made scheduling a doctor’s visit fast and easy. You can make an appointment yourself (718.250.6767) or ask your doctor for a referral.
Once you’re here, your examination will be unhurried. The Dermatologist will spend as much time as it takes to diagnose and treat your problem.
The condition of your skin can shed light on an illness in another part of your body. As a Brooklyn Hospital Center patient, we offer quick, convenient access to a variety of qualified specialists should you need a referral. These individuals will work with your Dermatologist and Primary Care Physician to make sure you receive exactly the care you need.
Our Board Certified Dermatologists are trained to handle even the most difficult skin problems. They offer
traditional surgery, cryosurgery (applying extreme cold to the affected area), and a variety of medications including the latest biologic therapies.
Some of the many illnesses and conditions we treat include:
Not all skin conditions are alike. Babies and young children
have unique skin care needs, as do the elderly. Our Board
Certified physicians are skilled in treating all skin types.
Pediatric skin care.
Malignant melanomas can appear anywhere on the body, but the location tends to vary with ethnicity.
In Hispanics, melanomas tend to occur on the legs while in African Americans they may appear on non-sunexposed skin such as the feet, palms, and nails.
Brooklyn Hospital Center Dermatologists are acutely aware of these differences and screen patients
accordingly.
If you have a regular doctor, we will keep in close contact with her or him throughout your care. We will
stay in touch by phone or email, and prepare a detailed treatment summary to ensure your care is integrated with any other treatments you may be receiving.Personnel
