Residents are assigned 18 months of obstetrics of which three months are assigned, during the second year, to the Section of Maternal Fetal Medicine; 18 months in Gynecology of which three months are in the Sections of Gynecological Oncology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, respectively. The Primary Care objectives are accomplished in the first and second years and comprise a total of six months. These six months encompass rotations in Family Medicine, Geriatric Medicine and Internal Medicine. In addition to the primary care rotations, specialists in the areas of family practice assist in the Ob/Gyn clinic settings to enhance the primary care exposure throughout the four years. Residents obtain experience in critical care by rotations in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.
