It’s never fun when a kid gets sick, especially when it’s holiday time when families like to be at home, exchanging presents and spending time together. But something special happens this time every year at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. 

Individuals, organizations and local businesses donate hundreds of gifts to our young inpatients, and patients of our four Community Family Health Centers located throughout Brooklyn. 

“Every donation gets put to use,” says Community Outreach Director Beryl Williams.  “Our Pediatric inpatient and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology departments keep the extra toys and give them to sick children throughout the following year. So this act of generosity during the holidays reverberates at The Brooklyn Hospital Center all year long.”
