Nitsana A. Spigland, MD, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Surgery at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. Board Certified in Pediatric Surgery, Dr. Spigland completed her Fellowship training in St. Justine’s Children’s Hospital in Montreal, Canada, and went on to a number of prestigious academic and hospital appointments in the New York metropolitan area, including Chief of Pediatric Surgery and Trauma at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital—Cornell Campus.
Throughout her career, Dr. Spigland has been publicly recognized for her professional accomplishments. She was elected to Castle Connolly and US News and World Report’s America’s Top Doctors and Castle Connolly America’s Top Doctors for Cancer, both in 2011. In addition to pediatric surgical oncology, Dr. Spigland excels in pediatric thoracic and abdominal surgery, pediatric head and neck surgery, pediatric trauma and the treatment of neonatal anomalies.
Oliver Muensterer, MD, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Associate Attending Surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. He serves as Director of General Pediatric Endosurgery at the NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Muensterer has a particularly strong experience in minimal-invasive pediatric surgery with an emphasis on the pioneering Single Incision Pediatric Endosurgery (SIPES), which enables virtually scarless procedures. Dr. Muensterer completed as fellowship in Pediatric Endosurgery at the University of Alabama, Birmingham, AL.
His expertise also covers prenatal counseling for congenital anomalies, surgery in neonates, all types of gastrointestinal pediatric surgery, minimal-invasive oncologic surgery in children and pediatric trauma. His specialty training is in both Pediatrics and Pediatric Surgery.
