Annual Campaign

When you make a gift to The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation’s Annual Campaign, you join a select group of people who help save lives, heal and care for patients, comfort their families, teach good health, meet new challenges, and bring innovative healthcare to Brooklyn.  All contributions to the Foundation support The Brooklyn Hospital Center and its mission.  Every gift, no matter the size, helps TBHC deliver excellent healthcare to all, irrespective of their ability to pay.

Money from the Annual Campaign is used to support specific, important projects within The Brooklyn Hospital Center. For example, campaign funds helped us acquire a state-of-the-art Medical Simulation Center. Using computers and technologically advanced mannequins, the facility helps our residents and nurses-in-training to perfect a variety of diagnostic and clinical skills before performing them on real patients.  In other years, funds from the Annual Campaigns paid for pediatric sleeper chairs and a wayfinding signage system enabling easy hospital navigation.

In 2011, the Foundation, using a portion of the 2010 Annual Campaign funds, initiated a grant-making program through which individual departments were able to apply for grants to fund equipment or a program that enabled them to improve patient care.  A portion of the 2012 campaign funds will be directed to projects that employees themselves identify as being critical to best patient practices
