2013 Founders Ball is SOLD OUT!

Each June the Founders Ball brings The Brooklyn Hospital Family together to raise critically needed funds to advance the mission and vision of The Brooklyn Hospital Center and to recognize outstanding leaders both within our hospital and in our community.  Last year’s celebration took place on June 6th, 2012, at Stage Six at Steiner Studios, raising a record breaking $908,000.  Our thanks to all who supported this fantastic event!

We are excited to announce that the 28th Annual Founders Ball to benefit The Brooklyn Hospital Center will be held on Wednesday, June 12th, 2013 on the floor of the Barclays Center!  As the hometown hospital of the Barclays Center, The Brooklyn Hospital Center has the distinct honor of holding the very first fundraising event on the floor of the arena.

Our distinguished Event Co-Chairs are, Brett Yormark, CEO of the Brooklyn Nets and Barclays Center, and Robert B. Catell, Former Chairman, Keyspan & National Grid US and Chairman, Advanced Energy Center at SUNY Stony Brook.

Proceeds from the 2013 Founders Ball will be earmarked towards an initiative to renovate and modernize our Emergency Department, arguably, one of northern Brooklyn’s most urgent healthcare needs and a legacy gift to our local community.

We hope we can count on you to celebrate and support Brooklyn’s first voluntary hospital!

STAGE 6 AT STEINER STUDIOS

15 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn Navy Yard, NY 11205
From Manhattan:

Via the Williamsburg Bridge (8 minutes from Bridge)

Cross the bridge on the outer roadway. Take the Broadway exit on your right. Bear right off of the exit and take Broadway Westbound (HSBC Bank will be on your right). Turn left onto Wythe Avenue. Turn right onto Clymer Street. Turn left onto Kent Avenue. Turn right onto Williamsburg Street West. Turn right onto Flushing Avenue and right at Washington Avenue into Steiner Studios.

Via the Manhattan Bridge (10 minutes from Bridge)

Cross bridge on upper or lower level. Pass Tillary Street and make a left onto Myrtle Avenue. Stay on Myrtle for about 1 mile. Turn left onto Washington Avenue. Go straight down Washington Avenue into Steiner Studios.

Via the Brooklyn Bridge (10 minutes from Bridge)

Cross the bridge and stay in the Left Lane. At the first light, turn left onto Tillary Street Remain on Tillary Street for five lights (Navy Street) (DO NOT merge left onto BQE ramp at Prince Street – 4th light) Tillary Street forks after Prince Street/BQE Ramp (stay in left lane) Tillary becomes Park Avenue at Navy Street Continue on Park Avenue for eight lights (Washington Avenue) Make left turn onto Washington Avenue and drive two blocks. Washington Avenue becomes Steiner Studios Entrance.
From Queens/Long Island:

Via the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278 West)

Take Exit 31 (Wythe Avenue/Kent Avenue). Follow signs that say Brooklyn Navy Yard. Continue straight on this road, merging onto Williamsburg Street West. Turn right onto Flushing Avenue. Make a right onto Washington Avenue into Steiner Studios.
From Staten Island:

Via the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE/I-278 East)

Take Exit 30 (Flushing Avenue) and make a left. Make a right on Washington Avenue into Steiner Studios.
