The Brooklyn Hospital Center Opens New IT Data Center
May 26, 2016State-of-the-art new data center will improve patient health record protection, enhance communication between physicians, nurses and clinicians, and seamlessly connect TBHC with surrounding community providers
BROOKLYN, NY – The Brooklyn Hospital Center will host a ribbon cutting ceremony for its new IT Data Center on Tuesday, August 25, 2015 from 12pm – 2pm. New York City Councilwoman Laurie Cumbo, TBHC clinicians, Board of Trustees and IT staff will mark this achievement and tour the new center.
Consistent with the strategic plan objectives, TBHC’s new Data Center is another step towards utilizing information technology to execute integrated, quality care for patients. As one of only 15 hospitals in New York State to be recognized by the Hospitals & Health Networks with its “Most Wired” 2015 award, TBHC continues to make significant strides in IT advancements.

About The Brooklyn Hospital Center
Founded as the borough’s first voluntary hospital, The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) has been keeping Brooklyn healthy since 1845. Today, it is a 464-bed community teaching hospital, and provides a full range of primary, specialty, diagnostic and tertiary care with a team of outstanding physicians, nurses and staff.
