The Brooklyn Hospital Center Partners with Cookie’s Kids Department StoreJune 11, 2018
Local store provides blankets, gift cards and important info to moms
Babies delivered at The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) are going home swaddled in warm blankets thanks to a generous donation from Cookie’s Department Store.
“We are pleased to partner with Cookie’s to promote prenatal and newborn care and help ensure that the babies delivered at TBHC go home healthy, warm and comfortable,” says Gary G. Terrinoni, President and CEO of TBHC. “We could not ask for a better partner. Cookie’s has been the one-stop shopping destination for many local families for the past four decades.”
Each new TBHC mom also receives a gift card redeemable at one of the five Cookie’s locations in Brooklyn, Queens and the Bronx. Additionally Cookie’s provides practical planning info to expecting moms who receive their prenatal care through TBHC’s comprehensive network of ambulatory care centers, including five Family Health Centers located throughout Brooklyn.
Cookie Falack, President of Cookie’s, says, “Since opening more than 40 years ago, Cookie’s has delivered top value to the kids and families who make our city so great. TBHC shares the same commitment to the health of these families, which is why we couldn’t be happier about this partnership.”
The first Cookie’s store opened in Jamaica, Queens to sell holiday toys. Since its beginnings, the venerable New York retail institution has grown into one of the largest national retail outlets for children’s clothing and accessories. The Fulton Mall store is located at 510 Fulton Street, just blocks away from the TBHC’s Downtown Brooklyn campus. Interested customers can also shop online at www.CookiesKids.com.
TBHC has a long history of delivering top, quality prenatal and birthing care, including sophisticated prenatal testing and imaging and the latest technology in the childbirth center, which has 10 labor and delivery suites. Each year, TBHC’s experienced obstetricians deliver more than 2,500 babies.
