A slam dunk! That’s how the sold-out crowd in attendance at The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation's 28th Annual Founders Ball — held this June at Barclays Center—described the gala. As the hometown hospital of Barclays Center, we enjoyed the arena’s added buzz, helping surpass the million dollar mark with $1,367,058.45 raised for TBHC’s Emergency Department Modernization Initiative.
“I’m proud to be here,” said one attendee, “The success of this event will fund new technologies that make healthcare delivery in Northern Brooklyn more efficient.”
Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz was on hand to congratulate TBHC. The B.P. said Brooklyn’s incredible progress is the result of hard work by MaryAnne Gilmartin (Founders Ball Medalist) and many other individuals who together are making Brooklyn a top destination with world-class sports, entertainment, shopping, dining and other business.
