Baseball Legend Darryl Strawberry Visits TBHC with Borough President Eric Adams for Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month
On March 5, The Brooklyn Hospital Center hosted two special guests who helped kick off TBHC’s Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and Darryl Strawberry, baseball icon, author, pastor and colorectal cancer survivor, who said: “I was hard-headed; I thought I didn’t need a doctor. I was wrong. And now I’m urging others to get screened for colorectal cancer.”
