In fact, for several years, TBHC has been taking minimally invasive surgery to the highest level with robotic surgery, using the advanced da Vinci Xi System. This robot provides an immersive 3D, high-definition vision system for a magnified view.

    TBHC Places ‘Garden of Heroes’ in Fort Greene Park to Honor Employees

    In partnership with the Fort Greene Park Conservancy and the New York City Parks Department, The Brooklyn Hospital Center has created a Garden of Heroes, placing a bench and six newly planted limber pine trees in honor of each of the hospital employees who passed away during the coronavirus spring 2020 surge.

    TBHC Launches New Web Q&A Series: Ask A Nurse

    With the rapid influx of changing COVID-19 information, TBHC’s Nursing Education launched a health education series, open to the community and employees alike. The sessions are prerecorded Zoom chats filmed with our team of expert nurses. On October 14, the first Q&A covered the similarities and differences between COVID-19 and influenza, and was hosted by Aileen Tanafranca, AVP of Nursing Administration and Strategy.

    On Monday, October 26, The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation will host its first ever VIRTUAL Founders Ball event. The celebration recognizes The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s 175th anniversary — an important milestone in the hospital’s continuous history of serving the people of Brooklyn — and honors healthcare heroes who worked around the clock battling the COVID-19 crisis with skill, dedication and bravery.
