AVP of Nursing, Medical-Surgical Services
TBHC’s medical-surgical units care for adult patients who are acutely ill with a wide variety of medical issues or who are recovering from surgery. Treatment specialties are provided by more than 135 highly trained staff delivering outstanding care.
7B is our pilot unit for the Patient Experience Project. We are equipped with ten rehabilitation beds on 8W and received the Certification of Excellence for Bariatric services. Our hospice service delivers compassionate care to the dying and their families. Overall, our medical-surgical units maintain high patient satisfaction scores.
TBHC’s medical-surgical nurses are committed to the hospital’s mission and look forward to continued collaboration with colleagues and staff to improve patient satisfaction and patient safety. One of our goals for 2020 is to bring our Shared Governance committee online so our staff can have a greater voice at the larger TBHC table.
