Nursing Quality and Performance Improvement works collaboratively with the Quality Department. This division is involved in monitoring and tracking nursing quality metrics at The Brooklyn Hospital Center, such as the National Database of Nursing Quality Indicators (NDNQI), Leapfrog, and Patient Experience Scores via Press Ganey. We are proud to have achieved great strides in our nurse-sensitive performance improvement goals internally, as well as in comparison to participating NDNQI hospitals.
This division also ensures that standards of care are met and mitigated in the Quality Assurance referrals they receive, in order to meet the patient needs from safety and quality perspectives. New innovations include Nursing Dashboard compliance tracking, Infection Control and Prevention surveillance, and regulatory compliance for the Nursing Department.
