Dr. Irina Rondel is the Director of Breast Imaging Service in the Department of Radiology at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Rondel received her medical degree from the Moscow Medical Stomatological Institute. She completed residencies at Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York and The Brooklyn Hospital Center. After, she went on to complete her fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She is currently involved in the practice of the quality improvement project in liaison with American College of Radiology, responsible for annual facility recertification. Dr. Rondel is clinical areas of interest include: Diagnosis of breast diseases, including cancer and wide variety of noncancerous conditions. All modalities of screening and diagnostic breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI. All types of image-guided breast interventional procedures, including stereotactic biopsy, ultrasound-guided biopsy, MR-guided biopsy, and all wire localizations, including mammographic, ultrasound and MRI guided needle localizations in pre-surgical patients.
