Young Leadership Council

Meet our Young Leadership Council and Join this Engaging Group!

Getting involved with TBHC means learning about today’s dynamic healthcare landscape and the tremendous civic challenge it presents. It means developing your philanthropic and leadership skills, along with your social and professional network. And, perhaps above all, it means making a lasting and meaningful contribution to the underserved community that TBHC works so hard to reach.

The mission of the TBHC’s Young Leadership Council (YLC) is to increase awareness and support of The Brooklyn Hospital Center — a compassionate hospital changing to fit the needs of our dynamic borough. The YLC is a subset The Brooklyn Hospital Foundation and encourages the involvement of young professionals by accommodating busy work/life schedules.

YLC members serve as ambassadors to the community. They have opportunities to meet with select TBHC medical professionals and administrators to share what they and their peers look for in choosing a medical center or physician. They promote the Hospital through their own series of special events. And they help raise funds for designated projects. Additionally, YLC members are invited to attend select Trustee and Foundation meetings. Each member is asked to give or raise a minimum of $1,000 per year.

Our current members are leaders in variety of industries - from real estate, to banking, to non-profits, to the medical field. They host fundraisers yearly and help spread the mission of The Brooklyn Hospital Center using an array of platforms. Please check back regularly to see what we are working on. And, we welcome new members and ideas!
