TBHC’s Department of Pediatrics is committed to meeting the needs of our community and providing high-quality, compassionate care with the finest technology and services available today.

Our department is part of a nationally accredited hospital offering a full spectrum of pediatric and adolescent services and specialties. We ensure the highest quality, most comprehensive care available in the New York metropolitan area, from birth to age 21. Our board-certified pediatric physicians and surgeons, as well as our nurses and nurse practitioners have years of expertise and are dedicated to providing convenient, courteous and culturally sensitive care to the children and parents of our diverse neighborhoods, including:

• A full roster of pediatric primary care at our on-site Children’s Health Center and Brooklyn Adolescent Center, as well as pediatric care in our neighborhood family health centers.
• For children who need hospital inpatient or emergency care, we have dedicated pediatric specialists and hospital physicians in multiple disciplines including a fully staffed pediatric-focused Emergency Department, a dedicated pediatric unit with a playroom, cutting-edge Level-3 perinatal care center/neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), and 24-hour pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
• We also have a full roster of specialty pediatric care (cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology, HIV/AIDS care, nephrology, neurology, pulmonology, rheumatology, and pediatric surgery).
• Our Child Life Program works to provide warm support to children and their families at all levels of our pediatric services. And, our pediatric care is complemented by excellent pediatric dentistry services in our Dentistry and Oral/Maxillofacial Surgery Center.

Furthermore, our department is home to a fully accredited pediatric residency and our pediatricians keep abreast of the latest thinking in pediatric primary and specialty care through their roles as teachers.
