Coco Jones Delivers Happiness to Young Patients at The Brooklyn Hospital Center with Starlight Children’s Foundation
Acclaimed actress and singer Coco Jones recently visited The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC), bringing joy and comfort to young patients and their families during the holiday season. Partnering with Starlight Children’s Foundation, Coco distributed Patient Activity Kits (PAKs) filled with toys, activities and resources designed to provide playful distraction and emotional support for hospitalized children.
New Surgery Appointments at The Brooklyn Hospital Center

A highly respected leader and educator, Dr. Menezes brings decades of clinical and administrative experience to this role. He was appointed Chief of Vascular Surgery in 1998 and has been an integral part of TBHC’s surgical team ever since. Under his leadership, the hospital successfully transitioned from traditional. open surgical techniques to advanced endovascular procedures, significantly enhancing patient care and outcomes.

The Brooklyn Hospital Center is Awarded Colorectal Cancer Screening Access Grant

Healing Fast With Robotic Hernia Surgery
“My experience with hernia surgery at The Brooklyn Hospital Center was truly outstanding. From the moment I received the initial diagnosis to the follow-up care after surgery, I felt supported and cared for every step of the way,” says Brooklyn photographer Rick Schwab. When Mr. Schwab first learned about his hernias, his urologist suggested surgery, considering his active lifestyle as a photographer. After discussing his options and seeking advice from a friend who knew TBHC well, he decided to go with TBHC’s robot surgery program, because the recovery would be faster and with less chance of complications. “It was there that I met Dr. Luca Milone, who recommended laparoscopic surgery to address my hernias,” says Mr. Schwab.
