The Brooklyn Hospital Center offers highly personalized, medically focused dermatologic care in addition to cosmetic solutions. Our board certified dermatologists are concerned with the long-term health of your skin and body, offering skin care for the entire family.

Not all skin conditions are alike. Babies and young children have unique skin care needs, as do the elderly and individuals representing diferent ethnicities. Our board certified physicians are skilled in treating all skin types, ranging from common pediatric issues (acne, birthmarks, ringworm, scabies, poison ivy, hives and warts), to skin conditions of the elderly (excessively dry skin or xerosis, pressure and diabetic ulcers, and premalignant lesins, also known as actinic keratoses.

When it comes to skin cancer, ethnicity matters

Malignant melanomas can appear anywhere on the body, but the location tends to vary with ethnicity. In Hispanics, melanomas tend to occur on the legs while in African Americans they may appear on non-sunexposed skin such as the feet, palms, and nails. Brooklyn Hospital Center Dermatologists are acutely aware of these differences and screen patients accordingly.
