The Brooklyn Hospital Center’s Department of Family Medicine uses the family practice model of care — care for all ages, from infants to adults including:

• Physical exams
• Immunizations
• Gynecology
• Sports medicine
• Cardiology
• Endocrinology
• Ophthalmology
• Podiatry
• Health screening
• Behavioral health care
• Nutrition counseling
• Care for special conditions like diabetes and other chronic diseases
• Health education programs

The department provide this comprehensive, family-centered healthcare in a variety of settings, including in our Family Medicine Center and throughout our network of family health centers, and in the hospital inpatient setting through the hospitalist program and geriatric service.

Our department is also home to a fully accredited family medicine residency and our physicians keep abreast of the latest thinking and techniques through their role as teachers.
